REDNESS, SWELLING, TENDERNESS & POSSIBLE BRUISING IS NORMAL AND WILL SUBSIDE.

THE AREA WILL FEEL FIRM, NUMB & LUMPY, THIS IS ALL PART OF THE HEALING PROCESS.

DO:

• Remain upright for 4 hours.

• Ice the area intermittently for the next 24 hours.

• Take paracetamol for discomfort if required.

• Apply over the counter agents such as Arnica to assist with any bruising.

• If possible, sleep with your head elevated for the next 3 - 5 days.

• Contact Angela immediately if you notice:

  A sudden difficulty speaking,

  Numbness or weakness in your face,

  Skin discolouration,

  Significant pain away from the injection sites,

  Any other symptoms that cause you concern.

• Attend a review appointment in 5 weeks particularly if it is your first treatment.

DON’T:

• Do strenuous exercise for 2 - 3 days as this may increase bruising and prolong swelling.

• Apply active skincare until redness and swelling has subsided.

• Apply pressure, touch, or manipulate the treated area.

• Have any skin treatments for at least 2 weeks.

• Expose the area to excessive heat (sauna, hot showers, sun).

You will be requested to return to the clinic 5 weeks following your treatment.

This is an important part of the treatment process to ensure that your treatment is complication free and that your progress is monitored.
